Marvel Faces Severe Backlash on Social Media for the Opening Scenes Generated by AI in ‘Secret Invasion’.
Marvel’s new television series, Secret Invasion, has faced backlash on social media due to the revelation that its opening credits were generated by artificial intelligence (AI). The director of the series confirmed that an AI operated by Method Studios produced the sequence, which featured metamorphosing watercolor renderings of the show’s characters.
Because of the use of AI, people were mad about it as it likely replaced the jobs of humans — eliminated work opportunities for graphic designers and animators.
But Method Studios came out and cleared the air by saying that…”AI is just one tool among the array of tool sets our artists used. No artists’ jobs were replaced by incorporating these new tools.”
Amazon is investing $100 million on AI education to develop new AI products.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is investing $100 million to establish the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center, aiming to assist customers in developing and deploying new artificial intelligence (AI) products.
The program will connect customers with AWS experts in AI and machine learning, supporting clients in sectors such as healthcare, financial services, and manufacturing to create customized applications using generative AI technology.
By offering these services, Amazon aims to compete with Microsoft’s Azure and Google in the growing market for generative AI applications.
